Meet the Team!

Mary Coomes founded the Dean (Marty) Coomes Scholarship to honor the life, values, and legacy of her son. Through her vision and dedication, the foundation continues to support graduating seniors as they pursue higher education. Her commitment to serving students and giving back to the community is the driving force behind the organization's mission.

Teresa oversees the financial stewardship of the foundation, ensuring scholarship funds are managed responsibly and transparently. She has proudly served the Paradise community for more than 20 years through her work at Ridge Eye Care and Ridge Eye Institute. As Dean Coomes' sister, she is honored to help preserve his legacy by supporting students as they begin the next chapter of their educational journey.

Hailee serves as Secretary, helping maintain board records and support the foundation's day-to-day operations. She is a second-grade teacher in Paradise and is passionate about helping young students learn and grow. As Dean Coomes' niece, she is proud to contribute to a mission that reflects the values and generosity he exemplified throughout his life.

Trinity leads the foundation's marketing, communications, and community outreach efforts. She manages the website, social media presence, and public engagement to help expand awareness of the scholarship and connect with students, schools, donors, and community members. As Dean Coomes' niece, she is honored to help share his story and continue his legacy through meaningful outreach.

Jason is an educator who is passionate about investing in the next generation both inside and outside the classroom. As a Board Member, he supports the foundation's mission and assists with organizational initiatives throughout the year. Outside of work, he is a devoted San Francisco Giants fan and enjoys cheering on his team whenever he can.

Weston manages a service line dedicated to helping preserve patients' sight at North Valley Eye Care, the sister clinic of Ridge Eye Institute. As a Board Member, he supports the foundation's planning, outreach, and long-term growth, helping ensure the scholarship continues to make a lasting impact for future generations.
